Our theme was chosen to convey the dual purpose of Personnel Conference 2010:
1. "Let's go out for a cup of coffee," is often an invitation you give to someone you enjoy being with and with whom you want to spend some leisurely time in conversation. A big part of the Personnel Conference has been the casual times of interacting with your peers. Times of catching up not only about personal lives, but what has been happening in your responsibilities over the past year. These times build relationships and often bring about new discoveries and ideas about each others' work.
2. A second purpose is to give you some "shots" of excellence. Though a shot of "espresso" may not seem like much, just a small amount packs a lot of power! In the same way, this conference has been designed to help you find new ways of adding more power - more excellence - to what you are already doing - whether it be in mobilization, HR, training, or member care. The goal is that you discover new ideas on how to "add more" by improving upon what you are already doing; by taking it to the next level; by adding more creativity, by maximizing technology, and more! You'll come away with a renewed perspective that what may seem "small" can be very powerful.
